New Season
Harlesden Harps had their first outing of the new season on Saturday last with an entertaining match against Glen Rovers in Watford. After shaking off some early season cobwebs the Harps came out on top by a point in a close fought game. Our next warm-up fixture is this coming Sunday, 08/03/15, in Luton.
These games will help to get players up to speed for our first competitive game of the new season in the Murphy Cup on 21/03/15.
Senior Training
For now, training continues every Tuesday at 7:30pm in The Pavilion, Hillside, Stonebridge, NW10 8LW. New players are always welcome to this well run club which if needed can offer good jobs, accommodation and a social life to their members. Transport to and from training and pick up from local stations can also be arranged.
Joe Lynch, who has a wealth of experience within coaching, will be the manager for 2015 and would encourage anyone wanting to be involved in a positive and fun training environment to contact him on 07584374236. An exciting year of football in London ahead.
Dinner Dance
Our 25th anniversary dinner dance will be held in the Crown Moran Hotel in Cricklewood on the 22nd March. Players from our three championship winning teams will be in attendance along with our special guest, the newly elected GAA President, Aogán à FearghaÃl. Anyone wishing to come along should contact club officers Tony O Halloran, Michael Cawley, Joe Lynch or Seamus Fox in order to get tickets. Tickets are priced at £50.00. It is hoped to have as many members and supporters, both past and present, in attendance in what promises to be a truly special night.
