" A large crowd assembled in Pairc na hEireann, on Saturday when they were entertained by a feast of football at All Britain Finals day.
First up were St Anthony's from Reading and Thomas McCurtains from East London,In the junior plate final, with the reading girls leading by a point at half time, but McCurtains came out all guns blazing in second half to win 4.14 to 3.02
Next it was the Junior championship final, with Dunedin Connolly's taking on Liverpool Wolfe Tones, this was a very tight affair for three quarters of the game,but the last quarter belonged to Connolly's, with Wicklow's Caoilfhionn Deeney helping herself to 3.10, the Edinburgh side ran out winners 3.16 to 2.07
Then there was the Intermediate plate pitting KKG against Local London rivals Fulham Irish, in a game which KKG dominated and ran out winners on a scoreline of 3.10 to 1.07
The premier even of the day was the Intermediate championship final. Fr Murphy's of London taking on Liverpool's John Mitchel's, which initially looked to close to call, but after Lisa McSweeney got the first point for Mitchel's Murphy's then took over, with goals from Laura Kelly, Lorraine Dolan,Maria and Niamh Keane and came away with a 4.11 to 1.03 win and setting up an All Ireland quarter final with the Ulster champions."
