Harlesden Harps played Heston Gaels in their first game of the championship at Ruislip on tuesday evening.Harps started slowly and allowed Heston too much space which resulted in a few early points followed by a goal. Finally Harps got a score with some excellent movement which resulted in Liam "Hotshot" Holly sidefooting past Hestons keeper .Harps then tagged on a few points but Heston replied with their own and led by a few at the break. At the start of the second harps played with a bit of fight and were getting back into it with the help of a few points and another goal by Daniel Sommers.Harps were now going well but had a good goal disallowed for nothing .That score would have put Harps a point up and surely would have lifted the lads but from the resulting 45 heston broke up the field and got a well worked point. Heston tagged on a few great scores after that and won well by 2 05 to 1 17.Good luck to them for the rest of the season.Man of the match was Sean o Halloran who gave his all along with Aidan Lynam,up front Ben O Mahony battled well when coming on.
