ABC - World Record Attempt
ABC - World Record Attempt
July 25, 2013
There will be a BBQ and music on the night as we are attempting to attract as many participants as possible and to make the night as memorable as possible for all the participants.
Anybody who is interested is more than welcome to come along and it is our intention to stagger the finish of the U8 and U10 games over the course of an hour and to move teams over to the floodlit pitch as they finish.
We have 320 kids participating Friday so that just leaves us needing another 80 men/women/children to exceed the 400 mark, which is the previous record. We are not only looking to break the record but to set a mark that will stand well into the future so we are encouraging as many Club members, players, parents, volunteers etc. to come along.
An added dimension to the match is that it will be a unique opportunity for everyone in London to take part.....no matter whether you have played Gaelic Football for 20 years or have never played before, everyone can get involved. There will men and women playing, including members of the successful London Senior Football team, so whether your 8 or 80.....this is a wonderful opportunity to take part in a World Record Attempt and play a role in yet another historic day for Britain GAA.
I hope to see you all in Greenford on the night!
