COACHING COURSES
The GAA season will be on us again shortly though and it is our intention to run a couple of Foundation Level Coaching Courses (over 1 Day each) in February and a subsequent Level 1 Youth & Adult Coaching Course (over 4 days).
The Foundation Level Courses will be run over 1 day and are open to all Club Members or anyone looking to get involved with a GAA Club.
The Level 1 Course is run over 4 days on consecutive weekends and is ONLY open to Coaches who have already completed the Foundation Level Course and have gained 2 years' experience coaching in their Club.
The Courses are limited to 30 people on each and in the interest of fairness; we will only accept 3 nominations from each Club for each course.
The Course Dates are as follows:
Foundation Level Coaching Course:
Thursday February 7th (for School Teachers)
Sunday February 10th
Level 1 Coaching Course: Sunday February 24th
Sunday March 3rd
Sunday March 10th
Saturday March 16th
Candidates must be available for EACH session and attend on each day to complete the Course. No exceptions will be allowed.
The Courses will all be in the Emerald Grounds, Ruislip except for Sunday March 10th, which take place in Greenford.
Each Day runs from 9 am until 5pm with a half an hour Lunch Break at 1 pm - lunch is provided.
There will theory based work and practical work involved in all the Courses so coaches should bring appropriate training gear/footwear.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis so please contact me ASAP if you are interested in attending.

REFEREE COURSE
There is a Referee Tutor Course coming up on February 2nd in Pairc Na hEireann, Birmingham.
We are looking for Referees to attend, who would then be able to give Referee Coaching Courses within the County and therefore increase our number of referees.
If any Club has any Referee who would be interested in going on the Tutor Course, please let me know as soon as possible.

CHILD PROTECTION OFFICERTUTOR COURSE
There is a Child Protection Officer Tutor Course coming up on February 23rd in Pairc Na hEireann, Birmingham.
We are looking for any Club members to attend, who would then be able to give Child Protection Officer Courses within the County and then hopefully increase our number of Child Protection Officers.
If any Club member is interested in going on the Course and thereafter running Child Protection Officer Courses within the County, please let me know as soon as possible.

TAG GAELIC FOOTBALL
Recently retired? Want to get fit? Or just curious?
Tag Gaelic Football is the game for you!!!
ANYBODY CAN PLAY - Any Person (Male/Female) of any Nationality over 16 who isn't playing competitive Gaelic Football can play!!!
Its Small-Sided Non-Contact Gaelic Football played outside on a small pitch with small goals.
We intend to run the games initially on a Saturday afternoon, with the first session on February 9th, in Greenford @ 2 pm.

CLUBS WORKSHOP
There will be a workshop to gather the view of all London GAA members on Saturday 26th of January
The workshop will take place in Ruislip starting at 3pm and will run for 2-3 hours. The workshop will cover a wide range of themes. It is essential that all clubs are represented and provide an input into the Strategic Plan as this is a plan for London GAA as a whole and therefore could you please forward this email onto to all club members

The London Supporters Club will commence raising funds for the training and preparation of all London County Teams from January 2013
The London Supporters will be a Sub-committee of the London County Board with its
own Officers and Executive committee.
Training and preparation of County teams has placed a great burden on the London
County Board in recent years and it is in the interest of all London supporters and indeed
the greater Irish population in London that our player's talents are given every opportunity to succeed against our fellow counties in Ireland.
Annual membership fee will be £25.00 per member and in return each member will be
entered into a draw for All Ireland Hurling or Football Final Tickets with overnight
accommodation for 2 people in Dublin .
