CALM
May 14, 2012
We all get down at times, right? But when we do, it's hard to know who to turn to, or how to pull ourselves out of it. CALM is a campaign working to reduce depression and suicide among men in London. We offer a free, confidential and anonymous helpline and text service, where you can get information, support and advice. No one needs to know. You can talk to our trained professional helpline about anything on your mind. You won't hear about CALM at a GP because we work with sports clubs, DJs, local businesses and community groups to reach men in a way that's credible and relevant. In Merseyside where we've been funded by local NHS since 2000, young male suicide numbers have dropped year-on-year by a total 55%. In uncertain economic times, CALM offer one place of support for Irish men in London.
