County board announcement: Fixtures

Please find two notices below from London GAA Secretary John Molloy. For the attention of all clubs regarding fixtures:

Sunday, 23rd May

A Chara ,
Once the fixtures have been sent to clubs on the Monday prior to the weekend there will be no cancellation of games unless it is in the case of a player immediate family bereavement which will be notified to the county board .

Fixtures are the main challenge within our association and are both a time consuming and complex undertaking, one change to same is not isolated but effects other fixtures around it.

Clubs have a major part to play in both complying and planning around the master fixture plan and are afforded further assistance by the issuing of the two weeks look ahead fixtures. Regarding the two week look ahead where a club has an issue with a fixture date they the club ( not the c c c ) seek agreement from the other club to a change of date that re fixture would have to be in the week following the original date at a time and venue to be decided on by the C C C only , any proposed change between two clubs on a fixture will have to be confirmed by both club secretary in an email to the secretary of the C C C on or before 4pm on the Sunday prior to the confirmed fixtures notice being sent out to all clubs .
