Harlesden Harps - Club Notes 26th April

Upcoming fixture: 

Harlesden Harps continue their 2021 league campaign this weekend against Tara, on Sunday May 02^nd at 1:00pm in Northolt Rugby Ground, Cayton Road, Middlesex, UB6 8BJ. As usual, make sure you check public transport is in use and for any likely traffic delays, etc and ensure everyone is at the venue nice and early for a proper preparation for the game.

Previous match: 

Great to have competitive football back as Harlesden Harps had their opening league game of the year under the sunny skies of Greenford against Parnells. On a good dry day for football our pre-season individual training stood to us as we eased through the gears to a comprehensive win on a scoreline of 4-09 to 0-05. Darren Lynch proved to be the man with the scoring boots hitting a hat-trick of goals with the other major coming from the evergreen Ashley O’Halloran. Ryan McSherry and Oisin Cooney also kept the umpires busy and overall certainly plenty to be confident about for the league campaign and most especially for the Junior Championship semi-final in two weeks time.

Training: 

Training continues every week taking place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, at 7:00pm in The Shamrock Club, 307A Horn Lane, Acton, W3 0BP (nearest tube station: North Acton on the Central Line). A physio will be there on Tuesdays for any niggles you may have. Any new players wishing to "play a bit a ball" are very welcome to come along to this well-run club. If needed we can offer good jobs, along with accommodation and a social life to our members. Transport to and from training and pick up from local stations can also be arranged.

Membership 2021: 

Membership for the year is £60 per person. You will get your own club socks and shorts once membership has been paid. Everyone please pay a club officer sooner rather than later.
