Hurling training will return to Goodmayes from next week. Training continues as usual for all other teams.
Our Ladies and Mens Footballers both lost out in entertaining games in Goodmayes. The ladies were on the wrong side of the scoreline against Tir Chonaill Gaels on Saturday and the Men lost to St Brendan's on Sunday.
Next weekend the Camogs will travel to Birmingham to play a league blitz and our Hurlers start their league campaign against Kilburn Gaels in Scrubs on Saturday. While our footballers play St Joes in their final group game in the Murphy Cup in Goodmayes on Sunday.
The ladies played Tir Chonaill Gaels in the second round of the league on a superb Saturday afternoon but came out on the wrong side of the scoreline. McCurtains started the better but two goals from TCG saw them go into the break leading by three. Two early second half goals from Bríd Murphy and Aoife Kelly saw McCurtains regain the lead but with the aid of the breeze TCG started to build up the points. There was nothing to separate the teams heading into the final quarter but TCG took a hold of the game and outscored McCurtains 1-6 to 2 points to finish the game the stronger.
