The next meeting London Youth Committee meeting will take place early in the New Year.
London Youths Committee would like to offer sincere sympathies to the families of the late Jerry Canty (Uncle of Vince McCarthy and Gran Uncle to Niamh, Conor and Ciara TCG) and Tom Lenihan (Tom The Cap Father of Matthew and Pierce Tara). We remember them in our thoughts and prayers. May their gentle souls Rest In Peace.
U10's London Youths Exhibition Game TCG v Fulham Irish
U10's London Youths had a platform to showcase their football skills at McGovern Park in Ruislip last Sunday.
Well done to all the U10 children who representing London GAA in playing an exhibition football game at the half time interval of the Cityjet Senior Football Championship Final. Two teams which one was TCG and the other team was made up of children from various clubs in London. TCG team consisted of Shane Rowley, Tom O’Donnell, Zak McGovern, Bridig McGovern, Darragh Noone, Enya Roche, Kian McGill, Eoin Kelly, Erin Creedon, Oisin Gammage and from other clubs was Tom Redican (Tara), Alex Wilson (Parnell’s), Riain McDonnell (Parnell’s), Darragh Egan (Parnell’s), Ronan Carolan (Parnell’s) Ciara Dunne (Fr. Murphy’s), Matthew O’Hare (St. Joseph’s), Freddie Govey Gamble (St. Claret’s), Daniel Greene (St. Claret’s), Tadhg O’Slatara (Parnell’s). It was a great privilege to see our future Gaels giving a great display of football and showing great enjoyment in doing so. The future is certainly looking bright for our young Gaels here in London. Thanks to Jimmy Creedon, Michael McGill, Mark Allen, Alan Carolan, Michael Kelly & Tadhg Lee who all helped out and to London Youths Secretary Joel McInern who do a fine job refereeing the game.. Congratulations to the Senior Football Champions for 2017 Fulham Irish on their defeat against TCG.

Year 6 Schools tournament
London's CDA Lloyd Colfer run a very successful Year 6 Schools football Tournament in Greenford last Thursday the 19th of October on behalf of London GAA and Provincial Council. Two hundred children from Sixteen teams participated from Nine schools with St Dominic Savio in Reading, St Bernadette School in Kenton, Annunciation in Edgware, St John's in Rickmansworth,St Joseph's School in Harrow, St Teresa's in Harrow, St Raphaels in Northolt, Larmenier & Sacret Heart in Hammersmith, St John Fisher in Pinner on the day. A big thanks to all the referees Liam Moffatt, Luke Doran, Ronan Dempsey, Hughie Faherty, Ross Murphy, Rhys Owley, Coleen Lynott also to Tir Chonaill Gaels for the kind use of their grounds.
Safeguarding Course
London GAA are organising another Safeguarding Course for all of our youth coaches/mentors/administrators involved with London GAA. The Safeguarding Course is on Friday, November 24th which will run from 7pm. - 10pm. in McGovern Park, Ruislip (HA4 6QX). The Safeguarding Course is limited to 20 people and in the interest of fairness, we will only accept 5 nominations from each Club. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis so please contact CDA Lloyd Colfer 07872600073 ASAP if you are interested in attending. Finally, under the new guidelines from the Provincial Council of Britain GAA, anyone involved with teams that have players under the age of 18 must be DBS certified, complete a Coaching Course and also, a Safeguarding Course so it is imperative that we get as many people as possible to attend these Courses over the coming weeks and months before the season starts as there will be a zero tolerance policy on this from the London County Board and the Provincial Council going forward. I look forward to seeing you all before the end of the season.
Two Foundation Level Coaching Courses
London GAA are running two Foundation Level Coaching Courses for the members of London GAA in the coming weeks. Firstly, there will be a Foundation Level Hurling Coaching Course on Saturday, November 4th in McGovern Park, Ruislip (HA4 6QX). Also, there will be a Foundation Level Gaelic Football Coaching Course on Saturday, November 25th in McGovern Park as well.
Additionally, we will be running a Level One Gaelic Football Course in conjunction with Ulster GAA in the new year. The Course will be over two weekends and all candidates who wish to attend the Course will need to have completed the Foundation Level Course.The Courses are limited to 25 people and in the interest of fairness, we will only accept 5 nominations from each Club.The Courses will run from 9 am until 5 pm with a half an hour Lunch Break at 1 pm - lunch is provided. There will theory based work and practical work involved on the Course so coaches should bring appropriate training gear/footwear.Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis so please contact CDA Lloyd Colfer 07872600073 ASAP if you are interested in attending.Finally, we would urge as many of you as possible to please take up this opportunity to further your coaching education which can only benefit your Club and London GAA.
London Youths Presentation Night
London Youths Committee will be holding their annual presentation night on Friday the 3rd of November at McGovern Park in Ruislip starting at 7.45pm followed by a buffet for all to enjoy. Presentations will be for the U12's up to the U18 boys and U14 Féile teams and U17 girls. We hope to see all clubs in attendance on the night to offer your support for our future Gaels.

London Minor Board are celebrating their 50th Anniversary year 1967-2017. We are appealing for any team photographs or photos of memorabilia to help us mark this special occasion.
