The hurlers playing on Sunday afternoon took another step towards the semi finals as they beat Kilburn Gaels in Greenford. Mark Russell was causing untold damage scoring five points in the first half and finishing with 1-06 overall. The move of the match came in the closing stages of the first period when Dean Corrigan soloing down the left wing picked out Joe Coulson from 65 yards. Coulson then controlled to sliotar with only his hurl before sticking it to the back of the net. Coulson added another goal in the second half, with further goals from Conor Smyth (two) and Roger Irish putting the gloss on the final score.
