Thomas McCurtains H&F Club Notes
May 08, 2017
It was a successful weekend on the field for McCurtains. On Saturday our hurlers travelled to Mitcham and played Sean Tracys in a challenge match. It was a good game with many new players getting a run out. McCurtains proved too strong in the first half and built on this foundation with some lovely hurling in the second half to run out winners in the end.
On Sunday the Footballers were on the road early for a noon throw in at Scrubs. McCurtains started strongly and were good value for their 1-04 to 0-02 half time lead courtesy of a Conor Murphy goal. The men from East London then took complete control after half time and extended their lead. Moindearg looked to start their comeback with a goal of their own but it wasn't to be and a Paddy Halligan penalty put a stop to it soon after.

Congratulations to our U14s who did brilliantly winning the Shield at St Paul's Academy. They played 6 teams and won 4 games beating 3 teams travelling from Ireland. The club are very proud of the way the team played. They style of football was superb. a big thanks to all of the parents and supporters who came today.
Next week is even busier for our teams with the Hurlers playing midweek in Scrubs and all four senior teams in action again next weekend.
