Next Matches:
A busy weekend coming up for the club with both teams in championship action this coming weekend. Harlesden Harps senior team play their next game in the VGC Intermediate Championshipthis Sunday 07th August at 6:00pm against Neasden Gaels. The game takes place at Greenford (pitch one), London, (UB6 0NZ). Letâs hope the lads put in a big performance and build on the momentum of their recent winning run.
The day before, Saturday 06th August, the reserve team open their championship campaign against Parnells at 3:00pm at Northwick Park (HA0 3TQ). Letâs make sure we get there early to prepare properly and start the campaign off with a victory.
As usual, check public transport is in use and for any likely traffic delays, etc and make sure everyone is at the venue nice and early for a proper preparation for the games.
Previous Matches:
Harlesden Harps continued their league campaign by registering an important victory over St Clarets last Saturday in Greenford. An entertaining game throughout, it was a case of which team would take their scoring chances that would come out on top. Thankfully it was the men from Harlesden as they played some lovely fluid football on their way to a win on a scoreline of 2 -13 â 1-14. The Rafferty brothers were the main scorers but also two fine goals were converted by Darren Lynch from the penalty spot and Ryan Moran showing a touch of class to finish off a flowing move by rattling the net. Letâs keep the winning momentum going for the next game against Neasden Gaels (see above).
Reserve Championship:
The draw has been made for the reserve championship with the Harps grouped together with ÃireÃg, North London Shamrocks, Parnells and Taras. Their opening fixture is on 06th August against Parnells, details above.
