July 11, 2016
2016 All Britain Competitions (ABC's) The ever popular All Britain Competitions (ABC's) in the 5th year was held in Greenford last weekend from Thursday the 7th - Sunday 10th of July. The event attracted around two thousand youths participating from schools and GAA Clubs all over London, England, Scotland, and Wales and Cúchulainns team from Ulster. One hundred and fifty teams were playing Gaelic Games in the competitions this year giving them the positive experience in playing for their teams and clubs in the ABC's. It was a great privilege to be graced with the presence of the Sam Maguire and Liam MacCarthy cups two years running as this could not be more appropriate in the year of the 100th Anniversary of 1916 Rising and also the Brendan Martin Ladies Cup where the children enjoyed having their photos taken, The children enjoyed playing the Gaelic sport and having the experience meeting other teams from across Britain in a family orientated environment bringing the culture aspects of the GAA alive.
