Senior Team:
Harlesden Harps senior team will have a break from games this weekend, details of their next game to follow closer to the time.
Previous Match:
The Harps senior team played St Brendanâs recently in Greenford. A disastrous opening quarter from the Harps saw the Brendanâs go goal crazy, finding the back of the Harps net four times in the opening 10 minutes. This was more than enough to give them a commanding 12 point advantage at the break, 5-06 to 1-06, the Harps goal coming from the boot of Ashley Oâ Halloran. A much improved second half performance saw the Harps team start to dominate their opponents, with some wonderful point taking, especially from John Rafferty and with Darren Lynch goaling the large lead was reeled in. It took a late goal (another one!) to drag St Brendanâs over the winning line, having four points to spare at full time. Ultimately the deficit proved too much for the Harps, and despite the strong second half showing, a swifter start is definitely needed from now on in their remaining games.
County Junior Team:
Congratulations to the London Junior team who continued their run to defeat Warwickshire last Sunday and advance to the All Britain Junior Football Final. Special mention for Robert Reid and Tom Murphy from the Harps, who both had storming games in the full back line for London.
