Deepest Sympathy
London Youth Board would like to extend their deepest sympathy to Pat McGovern and family on the sad passing of his wife Pam McGovern. Pat has been involved with London and Tir Chonaill Gaels GAA clubs for numerous years. May she rest in peace.
Development of young Gaelic Footballers in London
Development Squad training continued last weekend with 28 players turning up in Ruislip on Saturday afternoon. All the young men are working very well and already showing signs of improvement. There was certainly an increase in intensity last weekend as they are all fighting for places on the teams for December 1st!
Thanks to the new coaches that have come on board recently, Michael Mullane and Tony Griffin. They are a massive addition to the set-up which we are looking to grow and improve upon all the time and these men are a step in the right direction!
We will continue work with the two squads in Greenford as we have been afforded a wonderful opportunity to train alongside the London Senior Footballers in their new gym. This will provide our young Development Squad players the chance to see the Seniors up close, watch them in action and use the same facilities as their illustrious counterparts.
The sessions will run the same as last week:
The Wanderers Australia AFL boys are once again touring Ireland and England and we will be playing two Gaelic Football matches against them in Greenford on December 1st with the U-15 match at 11:00 a.m. and the U-18 match at 12:30 p.m.
