Congratulations to Brother Ciaranâs the U18 Football Champion for 2013
Brother Ciaranâs defended their title in the U18's football championship final which was played at Ruislip on Sunday the 27th of October which was a curtain raiser before the senior final with the champions Kingdom Kerry Gaels who defeated Tir Chonaill Gaels in the senior final.
It was a very windy day in Ruislip but that didnât deter great football between the two teams. In the first half TCGâs played with the wind and finished halt time with a leading score of TCG 1-03 to Brother Ciaranâs 0-01. In the second half Brother Ciaranâs turned things around when they were playing with the wind which finished off with a victory of a 4 pts win. The final score was Brother Ciaranâs 1-08 to Tir Chonaill Gaels 1-04. The captain Eamonn Scullion accepted the cup from Pat Byrne, GAA President Liam Oâ Neill and Chairman of London Youth Board Tony Griffin Well done to Brother Ciaranâs and hard luck to TCGâs

Development of young Gaelic Footballers in London
London GAA would like to introduce an exciting new initiative for developing young Gaelic Footballers within the County and therefore, we hope to establish a Development Academy for all our young Gaels.
This new Development Academy has 3 key objectives:
- To compete in Development Squad Tournaments in Britain and Ireland.
- To compete in the Minor All-Ireland Gaelic Football Championship.
- To produce a conveyor belt of players for our London Senior Football Clubs and the London Senior Footballers.
Paul Murphy (Strength and Conditioning Coach for the London Senior Footballers) in conjunction with Lloyd Colfer (CDA for London GAA) will be taking the sessions until the management teams for next year have been appointed.
Commencing work with the two squads on November 2nd and continue every Saturday (alternating between Ruislip and St.Paul's Academy) for a 6 week period before Christmas. The sessions will run as follows:
- Group 1: U-16/17/18 from 2.00 - 2.45 (PM) and 2.45 - 3.30 (LC)
- Group 2: U-15 from 2.45 - 3.30 (PM) and 3.30 - 4.15 (LC)
As there will be an indoor and an outdoor component to the training sessions, all players are asked to bring runners and football boots to training. Also, there will be a charge to all the players of £6 for the 6 week training programme to cover expenses incurred. The very best of luck to all who have been selected.
It has been pointed out that this is a pilot scheme and all arrangements for our Development Squads in 2014 will be determined by the interest, attendance and application of these young men over the coming weeks.
