Enthusiastic entry attend James O'Brien Day26-09-2018


There were over 220 children who took part in the James O'Brien Day on Saturday, September 22. All Clubs fielded U6, U8, and U10 teams.

Kids from St Clarets, St Kiernans, Parnells, Taras, North London Shamrocks, St Joseph’s,TCG, and Round Towers took part in the action. 

Each club played four group games which consisted of very passionate engagements with high levels of skill and application on show.

The U10s played for the James O'Brien Cup and Shield with TCG, St Joseph’s, St Clarets and Parnells contesting the Shield semi-finals. TCG and Parnells progressed to the decider with Parnells winning the final.

The Cup last-four consisted of NLS, St Kiernans, TCG and Tara with TCG and St Kiernans contesting the final and hosts, St Kiernans winning out.

It was a great day out at Hendon Rugby club and a very successful tournament hosted by the Kiernans which allowed supporters of their respective clubs to witness the stars of the future in action.
